Elementary Students Play at Hinkle During Volleyball Clinic
Over 175 elementary students from 16 IPS schools attended the Inaugural IPS Elementary Volleyball Clinic at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday, April 9, 2016. The event, hosted by The Lead Change Project and Butler University’s Varsity Volleyball Team, was designed to help teach the youngsters in attendance the fundamentals of the game as they prepared to begin their 2016 season this spring. Butler Volleyball’s head coach, Sharon Clark, and her team provided high-energy activities and demonstrations for the enthusiastic group following welcoming remarks from The Lead Change Project’s Founder, Jamal Smith. The IPS coaches and athletic directors in attendance also received some pointers from Clark and her staff in order to help their students develop throughout the season.
